  • Being a Gymnist

I loved being in gymnastics and traveling all over to compete in competitions. Gymnastics helped me comprehend the words my instructor said, and it also expanded my vocabulary.

    Mighty Kindergartener
In Kindergarten we got to bring home one book per week, and then my parents would read it to us before Friday so we could return them. The one book I remember is called The Baby Beluga.
There was a song that went along with it and I would always walk around singing it.

  • SPORTS

    SPORTS
I played three different sports in school, from junior high to high school I played volleyball, basketball, and softball. Being able to go from sport to sport to sport was easy for me and others didn't understand why. Each sport taught me something new. Softball was the biggest one with learning how to read hand signals from coaches.

    College Freshman Year (EIU)
I decided to play college Rugby, and nobody in my town had any idea of what that is. Being a sport that I had never played before I knew nothing about the rules of the game, but I was able to learn a whole new sport due to being literate in other sports that I had played in high school.
