    Many Pilgrims set out to sea on a ship called the Mayflower. By legend the Pilgrims stepped ashore at Plymouth Rock. Harsh climates and illness killed almost half of the colonists. The Pilgrims an dIndians created Thanksgiving during their celebration.

    The Industrial Revolution was a time where America and Europe became more industrialized. This helped factories make mass productions. This often would result in less jobs.

    Gorge Washington too command of Continetal Army to war against Britian in Boston. Although George Washington had lost more wars than won, he led his army to victory.

    Tomas Jefferson expressed the convictions in the minds and hearts of the American people. Jefferson summerized a set fourth list of grievances against the King in order to justify before the world the breaking of ties between the colonies and the mother country.

    On Septemeber 11, 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked four air planes. Their missions were to carry out suicide attacks against targets in the U.S. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. This heart breaking event killed over 3,00 people.

    On July 19, 2011, Derek Jeter had a historical night. He joined the 3,000 hit club as the 28th player to join. He didn't just get a hit though. He did it in fashion, with a long home run (off David Price, a Rays ace at the time). He is the second player to reach the 3,000 hit club in such fashion.
