John Brown's Raid
One night,J ohn Brown led 18 people to attack on Harper's Ferry. They soon captured the armory, gaining control of the town and then saved the small number of slaves.The next day, the government rushed to the location, and the government and them fought all day.
The raid was a fail, but it was a strong impetus to the development of the slave liberation movement. -

The assassination of United States President Abraham Lincoln took place on Good Friday, April 14, 1865, as the American Civil War was drawing to a close. The assassination occurred five days after the commander of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia, General Robert E. Lee, surrendered to Lieutenant General Ulysses S. Grant and the Union Army of the Potomac. Shot by John Wilkes Booth while watching a play. -
