Orlando Country Club Summers
I first met Devin when we were eight years old, and we were both on the swim team. We were on the swim team every summer for a few years until middle school age. We were also in golf camp at the same time, (which is where I was able to show off my skills to her). -
High School
After a thankful end to my time at Lake Highland, I wound up at Orangewood Christian. It ended up being the best thing that could have ever happened to me because I was reunited with Devin. We spent every break and lunch together, and right when school got out we would spend countless hours by the pool, sitting at Starbucks, and at where we first met (cco). -
College
After graduating high school, we both went off to separate colleges, and it was one of the saddest times of my life. -
Back home!
I ended up only spending a couple years away from home, and when I came back to finish my degree at UCF, I found out Devin was also back! We hung out a lot, but didn't start dating again quite yet. -
Dating
When I finally got enough courage to ask, I started officially dating! We really were for a while but you know how it is. I didn't think I could have been any happier, but I was soon to be proven wrong. -
We're Engaged!!!
Early in the morning I said I was "going to take the dog out," but I really snuck down to the beach and wrote my proposal in the sand. When I was all done and ready for her to wake up and look out the window I called her phone, and it was dead... So I ran upstairs real quick and told her to look out the window and ran back down so I wouldn't ruin the moment. We might have had phone trouble, and Devin had a fever, but it was the most amazing moment of my life to that point. -
A New House
Devin and I decided that spending money on rent every month doesn't make sense when that money could go (in part) toward owning a house. We started looking around and had our eyes set on a beautiful 1920's house near the Audubon Park area. We're still doing projects every weekend, but I get to spend that time working with Devin, so what is there not to love?? -
Married :)
We waited over a year to get married because we picked our destination and wouldn't budge because we knew it would be perfect. It might seem like I say "It was the happiest moment of my life" in every post, but that is my story with Devin. When I think it can't get better it does. There are always going to be hard times, but when you learn and grow with the love of your life, every day gets better and better. -
A New Furry Family Member
I remember having a normal weekend day, and Devin said she wanted to go look at animals at the shelter. I love animals as well so we trekked over to take a look. We ended walking out with a black cat we named Ollie. It was rough between her and our dog, Finn, but they learned to work things out between each other. -
Another New Furry Family Member
My grandpa hasn't been doing too well, and his cat was still over at his house even though he was in a rehab center, so we adopted Missy. She is a great cat, and I really think she was the catalyst that caused Finn to get along with Ollie.
