I was born at SOMC on this day. -
Started Piano Lessons
On this day, I started piano lessons, which is really important to me because music is such an important part of my life. I now teach piano to four students weekly, and it started here. -
Graduated High School
At this point, I was sad about leaving friends I'd made over a 13 year span, but very ready to move on to the next step in my life. Shawnee was the next step, and I had already been enrolled and declared my major as Middle Childhood Education with an emphasis on Math/History. -
Freshman Year at Shawnee State University
I began my freshman year at SSU. I was nervous about it at first, but it turned out to be a great year. -
Started My Job at Kroger Pharmacy
This is when I got hired as a part-time pharmacy tech at Kroger in Portsmouth. I've been working there for about three months now. -
Enrolled in EDRE 2204-90
As I begin my sophomore year, I can feel myself getting closer to my goal of becoming a teacher. Certainly this class is one of my stepping stones to reach my goal. I hope to gain a better understanding of what to expect of my students phonetically, and also what standards I will need to hold myself to. I'm very excited about getting to go into the classroom and assess students. It will be interesting to see where the average student lies in their abilities.
