    Throughout the war the U.S. stayed neutral but after reviving the telegram from Arthur Zimmerman. It stated that Germany has sent a request to Mexico stating that they should team up and attack the U.S.

    The Treaty of Versailles was created in 1919 and was the most important of the peace treaties that brought World War I to an end. The Treaty ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. But more than 20 years later World War 2 was started because of the treaty. Because the Germans were feeling threatened and were angry.

    Adolf Hitler became the leader of the Nazis Party in 1919. Hitler wanted a stronger country and in 1932 over 6 million Germans had jobs even during the Great Depression. But anyone who opposed the Nazis Party or Hitler was punished.

    In 1936 a group of solders led by Francisco Franco rebelled against the Spanish republic. The war caused an effect of not just Spain but the entire world. Throughout the war more than 500,000 people dies but in the end Franco won and became Spain's first fascist dictator in 1939.

    Hitler invaded Poland from the west. Two days later France and Britain declared war on Germany thus beginning World War II.
