Created on 1625, was included in the 5th amendment to compromise the protection of property. It is important to this unit because our founding fathers were trying to bring the U.S. as a whole together and since the south was dependent of slaves for the time being slavery was allowed. -
Charles Carroll
In 1772 he took part in a debate where he would write newspaper letters , to let the colonies determine the amount of their taxation. He didn't get to vote on the Declaration of Independence but he did sign it, he was also elected to the Continental Congress on July 4 ,1776. -
