Thinking back to your childhood what strategies did your parents use when discussing emotions? Emotion coaching or emotion dismissing? My mother and father differed in this. My father would largely teach me to ignore emotions, and not let them get in the way of my life. Although its not bad by any means, its not as good as it was before. The reason this happened is likely due to the obscene amount of time I spent on the computer every day.
