    Washington managed to bring a few thousand across the Delaware River. They captured one-thousand Hessian people at the cost of only four American lives, which helped mainly by raising Americans' spirits.

    This was made up of two battles. The first was a costly victory for Britain. This weakened the British so the Americans won the second. This is why the French, who is Britain's enemy, joined America in the war.

    It is when British General Lord Charles Cornwallis and 9,000 British troops were defeated by the French and the Americans. This ended the Revolutionary war.
