    W.V. Quine was born on June 25, 1908 in Akron, Ohio. He was an American logician and philosopher. His academic career was spent at Oberlin College studying math and logic. After graduating, he won a scholarship to Harvard University where he got his PhD. (Duignan, 1) Upon graduating, he traveled on a fellowship to Europe, where he met Carnap, and Tarski, and his interest in philosophy began. (Duignan, 2)

    Thomas Kuhn was born on July 18, 1922. Growing up, he went to a few different prestigious, progressive schools. "He started out at the Lincoln school up until the fifth grade, then moved and started at the Hessian Hills school in Croton-on-Hudson." (Kuhn, 1) "He then entered Harvard University where he undertook Physics. He received his BS, MS, and PhD from there" (Kuhn, 2) Through college, he maintained an interest in philosophy of science.

    Paul Feyerabend was born on January 13, 1924 in Austria. Growing up, he had a fascination with reading and philosophy. (Feyerabend, 1) He was drafted into the German Arbeitsdienst in 1942, and was stationed in France. (Feyerabend, 2) In 1951, he was granted a scholarship to work and study under Ludwig Wittgenstein, but unfortunately, Wittgenstein passed away before he was able to move there; so he then chose Popper as his "supervisor" instead.     David Bloor was born in 1942 in Derby England. He began his academic career in both philosophy and mathematics at the University of Keele. (Bloor, 1) He then went to the University of Cambridge to do further studies in experimental psychology where he earned his masters, and then University of Edinburgh where he earned his doctorate in psychology (Bloor, 2) He was the Director of the Science Studies Unit in Edinburgh where he is now Professor Emeritus.     Larry Laudan was born on October 16, 1941 in Austin texas.He is an American philosopher of science, and also an epistemologist. One of his greatest influences was James T Cushing. (Laudan, 1) His academic career was spent at both, Princeton University, and University of Kansas. (Laudan, 2) His most notable works came in the late 70's and early 80's. In 1977, Progress and its Problems was published. (Laudan, 2)
