  • Relfexes

    Grasping reflex
    At 3 weeks old infants start to develop reflexes. The first reflex they develop is called the rooting reflex. This reflex is when the baby turns its head when its cheek is touched. Some of the reflexes remain apparent through life, like the gag relfex.
  • Sight

    Infant Eyesight
    At the age of 6 months, most babies' eyesight is 20/20 which is what most adult's have as their eyesight.
  • Language

    Infant Speech Development
    At the age 4 1/2 to 5 months infants can not only hear the difference between their names and others' but also tell the difference between Spanish and English, this is apart of their speech development.
  • Walking

    When babies are around the age of 1, or maybe a little bit before or after, they begin to walk. This is a huge milestone for all infants.
  • Thought

    At the age of 18 months infant's eneter the substage 6 which includes developing thought. Between 18 and 24 months babies begin to think and develop thoughts. For example they start to realize the a toy the just had is hiding somwhere and did not just disappear.
