The light bulb helps in many ways. I like to read myself to sleep at night and without the light bulb i couldn't read at night. -

The electric washing machine helps tons. All you do is throw your dirty clothes in, add soap/bleach, turn it on and your done. Before, you had to scrub the clothes through until they were clean. -

Without earphones you would have to play music out loud. When playing music out loud, it may disturb people. It does damage your hearing, but only if you play it too loud. -
