When Italy declared war on Canada, the War Measure Act, allowed the arrest of Italian descent. 700 people were affected. Those arrested, got their property seized and were sent to camps. -

One year after the attack on Pearl Habour, Canada moved all people of Japanese origin away from the west coast of Canada. Under the War Measures Act, 20 000 Japanese descent were forced to leave their communities and be sent inland to remote communities. -
