Identifying ages and peoples needs

  • 0-5

    at this age the service and products needed are simple, at such a young age the expensive of the goods that they require are cheaper, They'll need things such as food, and baby food is cheaper than your average meal, they may need toys to give them a good happy upbringing, the funding for these will be coming from their Parents.
  • 6-10

    At this age the children will have hobbies such as football for example, therefore it will require purchases of the equipment needed, they will need clothes to go out in as they will be socializing more and making friend groups.
  • 11-15

    At this age the parents will want to invest into spending money on things like phones, as their children will be going out, but going a further distance, however a phone can keep them safe as they can call in a time of need, they will need school equipment as they will be starting in a high school, pocket money would be good as they can save up for things that they need and it also allows them to buy themselves goods such as food when they are out.
  • 16-20

    At this age the parents should not have to spend as much money on their children due to being 16 you get sent your national insurance number therefore they can work and earn their own money to start saving for a car, including their lessons, however parents may help their child partially as it is expensive for one child to achieve single handed, for birthdays they're more likely to receive cash as money at that age is a demand, they may save for their student funds/loans.
  • 21-25

    At this age they are now most likely an adult and have a job, also nearly being completely reliant on themselves, paying their rent/mortgage, buying their own food and clothes, however if they're struggling to pay for things, parents may help their child to pay for things such as their student loan, but if that isn't the case the child is completely ready and can support themselves.
  • 26-30

    At this age the parents do no longer need to support their child, the child is ready and may be looking at moving out of their apartment, to a bigger one with their significant other, so they will be moving into another house, so they will be paying for furniture and interior design.
  • 31-35

    At this age they may be looking at having children, so they will have to buy baby clothes and essentials for the soon to come child. Secondly you may be looking at getting married, however this is expensive depending on how you do it, buying things like suits and wedding dresses, renting the area they're performing it in. This will be paid by the people who are getting married.
  • 36-40

    At this age you have been working for many years, you may want to go on holiday with their child, you also may be looking at a pension and retiring from your job, depending on the job that they had affects their pension pay, so they will be rely on the disposable income in their accounts to live off as they're getting older.
