    people all around the world traded things. the most biggest thing that they wanted was sandalwood. somehow they found out that Hawaii had sandalwood. Kamehameha traded a shipload of sandal wood. in return kamehameha got thing that were sort of important but not really For example, a box of silk hanckerchiefs, saddle, silk hat,large beads, ect.

    The missionaries Arrived in 1819. 17 members were led by two ministers. The missionaries was sent to hawaii to pull the hawaiians away from their belife and to build houses, schools, and churches. Another job was to teach children. They divided and spreded to the other island.

    After Kamehameha died, Kaáhumanu his favorite wife grabbed Kamehamehass chief things and gave it to Liholiho Kamehameha's son and told him that they'll rule together. Kaáhumanu became Kuniha nui. Liholiho and Kaáhumanu was against kapu. Ka'ahumanu wanted to end kapu because it was unfair to women for eaxample women was'nt able to eat Bannana, kalua pig, and shark meat and women also couldnt be out of their huts at a certain time. Kaáhumanu talked to liholiho about kapu and he agreed.

    In May 26 1824 Kamua'li'i died. Ka'ahumanu, kamualiis wife took over but felt ill. Ka'ahumanu felt like she was going to die and so she told Bingham; I will do all good I can befoe I die. Ka'ahumanu recoverd and continued her quest. She asked the people to obey the christian rules.

    When captain cook arrived he noticed that there was spots of sugar cane. Hawaiians would chew up pieces of the sugar cane to eat the sap. In 1835, The sugar cane plantation started in Koloa Kauai. They had problems though because there wasnt enough hawaiian workers, Not enough money to pay the workers, and they needed better workers.
