    The persecution of Christians in the early church

    Started around 34 A.D, thousands of Christians were killed and persecuted as an act of herecy against Judaism. Continued for hundreds of years until adopted by the Romans.

    Conversion of Paul

    Paul was formerly known as Saul, who was a zealous prosecutor. He was blinded by god and was changed when he followed gods commandments and his instructions to love Christians.

    Conversion or Constantine and the Roman Empire

    The Roman Emperor Constantine was converted in 313 A.D and spread the religion through out the empire. He ended the persecution of Christians and started churches in the empire.

    The 'Great Schism'

    Was the split in the east and west church in the roman empire. Became the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches. created internal friction between Catholicisms.

    The Reformation

    England and Europe tried to reform the church because of the power it had in society. Martin Luther tried to confront the church on the abuse it caused and broke off, he is now considered the father of the European reformation.
  • The second Vatican Council

    was the reformation of the Vatican after the internal issues with the original Vatican council.Was announced by Pope John XX111 and is the current Vatican system.
