    The Odyssey - manufactured by Magnavox - was first released in the year 1972. I could not find the day it was released, but it was released in August of 1972. This was the first video game console that could be hooked up to a television to play certain games.

  • Atari 2600

    The Atari 2600 was the first game console ever creted by the company Atari. They were trying to create a console that had essentially the same games as the Magnavox Odyssey but named differently. This one I had also not find the exact day that it was released, but it was released in September of 1977.

  • Coleco Gemini

    Coleco Gemini
    The Gemioni produced by Coleco was a system mirrored to the Atari Odessey. Although it did have some different components and a different designed controller, it was indentical to the Odessey.

  • Playstation

    The well known Sony Playstation was released on December 3, 1994 in Japan. It was then released in Europe and North America in September of 1995. This system is a widely known system of a series of systems.

    Although I did not find a exact day, the Nintendo 64 (popularly known as N64) was a system released by Nintendo in June 1996 in Japan and later released in North America in September the same year, while it was released in the year 1997 in Europe, Australia, France and Brazil.

  • Playstation 2

    The Sony Playstation 2 was developed and released on March 4, 2000; only five years after the first Playstation console and was released late the same year in Europe and North America.

    The Gamecube is a console developed by Japanese company, Nintendo. The console was released in September 14, 2001 in North America and is a highly recognised among the world.

    The Xbox was a console developed by the company Microsoft and was released on November 15, 2001 in North America. Then, in 2002 released in Australia and Europe.

  • Wii

    Wii
    The Nintendo Wii was a console developed by Nintendo and was released on November 19, 2006 worldwide. This is the very first console with motion sensor controllers.
