    An indirect tax on sugar and molasses. The colonists hated it they still continued to smuggle molassses they didn’t pay any mind to it being enforced they also got it repealed

    It was paid by all the people rich , and the poor. Meant it has tax on paper items. Ex: newspaper, cards, documents . Colonists boycotted it and started riots also attacks on the tax collectors
