    Machines were taking over and many people were loosing their jobs and that lead to families becoming very poor and not being able to afford to live in addition to that to but any food ont the table they would have to steal

    A lot of people had to steal to survive and they would go to jail for even things like stealing a napkin and lots of people stole and lots of people went to jail and the jails started to overflow

    Because of the industrial revolution there jails were over flowing and so they had to send the prisoners somewhere so they started sending them to America but after a while America had, had enough of the convicts so they said we don't want your convicts anymore and the british said no so that's where the American war of independence started an the Americans won so the british stoped sending over there convicts
