Health Decisions

  • My Aunt Pt 1

Last year my aunt had the opportunity to go on a diet for a project at work. She didn't know if this was a great option for her as she didn't want to eat anything that could not provide the right amount of nutrition. However, she did like the idea of losing some weight and getting more in shape. Then, she remembered that back in her early twenties, she went on a similar diet.

"The objective of evaluating outcomes is for the decision maker to develop insight into that decision," (10). Using the insight she gained from that experience, she remembered that it was a great experience and made her feel great about herself.

" Appraise the process by which a decision was made," (11). In that time, she appraised the process and learned from it that she should still avoid the offered seafood, as last time it caused some problems in her stomach. In the end she ended up going on the diet, feeling better about herself, and helping the project.
  • My Best Friend

Last week, my friend had a lot of homework and was getting almost no sleep. She used her insight from the last time this happened to her and she overworked herself. She got very sick after the last experience and decided that this time she should just get some rest and accept not getting a perfect grade. She ended up feeling much more refreshed and could finish it in the morning before school without stressing herself out.
