The Brady family were living happily
The Brady family have a family store. George and Hana go to school at the time, when they are free they will help their family working in the store. Hana and George's job is to make sure that all the shelves are stocked and clean. They have a happy time with their family. George and Hana are the only children in Nove Mesto, Czechoslovakia. Hana and George is also the only children in Auschwitz. -
Hana was born in Czechoslovakia
In May 16, 1931, Hana was born so Hana joined their family. -
Dachau, it is the first concentration camp
On March 1933, Dachau, the first concentration camp, is established in Germany. Also in April 1933, The Nazi boycotts against the Jewish population begins, and in September 1935 the anti-Semitic Nuremberg Laws are passed in Reichstag, the German Parliament Building. As a result, Jewish people lose their citizenship and civil rights in Germany. -
Early childhood of George and Hana#1
On March 15 1939, The Nazis marched into Czechoslovakia and declare the Jewish people evil and a bad influence; from now on the Brady family has to live by different rules. Jewish people were only allowed to leave their homes at certain hours of the day due to travel restrictions. This meant no more visiting with family members outside of town. Hitler’s forces annexed the border region of Czechoslovakia
Fall 1938. After the Munich Agreement, Hitler’s forces annexed the border region of Czechoslovakia. New Year of 1938, George and Hana eavesdrop on their parents and neighbors listen to the news on their father’s radio. At the end of the news broadcast the adults discuss the Nazis and their treatments of the Jewish population. -

Jewish people are restricted to shopping at a few stores at certain hours of the day. The Brady's were forced to tell the Nazis about everything they owned – art, jewelry, bankbooks. The Nazis confiscated their father’s radio. -
George and Hana's mother were arrested
One day, Hana called George and Hana to go to the living room and told them the bad news, her mother just told them that their mom is just going on a trip. But when she lives, never came back. -
George and Hana's father got arrested
One day, after their mother got arrested, there was a knock on the door. George's dad open the door and he said you have two day to pack up all the thing and leave that house. After all, Hana and George are orphan. Their dad only told them that he is going to a very nice place and told them to take good care of themselves. -
Hana and George got separated in Theresienstadt
The solder told George to go to the left and told Hana to go to right, Hana were going to Kinderheim L410. -
In May 1942, Hana and George left their uncle's home and were sent to deportation centre
In May 1942, Hana and George had to live in the warehouse for four days and four nights, no food and no drinks, on May 16, 1942, it's Hana's eleventh birthday, she got a stub of candles and a few candies. -
George and Hana were send to Terezin in Czechoslovakia
On a day, their is a harsh voice told them that the train is leaving in one hour and let them only one suitcase and twenty-five kilos and not a gram more, form a straight lines and no talking. Do as you are told. -
A mail delivered and told them that Hana and George have to be delivered to the deportation centre
A mail delivered to their aunt and uncle's house and told them that George and Hana have to go to deportation centre. -
The last two year of Hana's life in Kinderheim L410
There is not enough food and not enough room for everyone, George lives at Kinderheim L417. At music class, they have to sang softly or they will be heard by the guard on the side. -
George and Hana's grandmother died
Their Grandmother died, even though George and Hana made craft to her and sang songs they learned to their grandmother. But she still died. -
Nazis realize that they are losing the war
Nazis realize that they are losing the war so they started killing thousand of people who that caught. Hana died because of the gas chamber. -
Hana and George were send to Auschwitz

George received the letter from Fumiko inJapan
George received the letter from Fumiko in Japan asking if George if he can bring some Hana's pictures and how she and Hana came to there and how did George escaped from the Auschwitz. After he escaped from Auschwitz he went to Toronto, he is still alive till now( 89 years old). -
