The goal was to protect American farmers, but it failed because others made bigger tariffs and nobody bought the farmers products. The tariff made everything worse and many savings accounts got wipped out because the banks all closed. -

Bonus Army
Bonus army was the name for 43,000 marchers. In Washington DC in the summer of 1932 to demand cash payment redemption of their service certificates. They were supposed to get 1000 dollars each but they wanted it early and they weren't supposed to get it until the 1940s... Congress voted no for their early bonus.,m -

He was a democrat. He was liberal. The 22nd amendment came out and it was that you can only be president for 2 terms and that amendament was estaablished in 1951
