Discovery of Grant
Somtime around this time in 1200 the Welsh discovered the island of Grant, unfortunately by crashing into it. They were looking for China because they thought they could get spices cheap and sell silk for a lot of money. They kept the island a secret because of cheap steel they found in the mountin areas. Without discovering the island, the country would never exist. -

The Undertaker
The Undertaker, a big ship carrying lots of people, came to Grant to look for land. They began building homes, and villages and towns and cities came up in a flurry. Then, 2 months later, the capitol city was built, housing 1000 people in it. They named the great city Grant. Without this event, this country would have died off because it was mostley men on the first voyage, but 20 women did come that saved them from some time. -

Formation of Goverment
The people of Grant were building towns and villiages and even small cities when they reached a problem. There was no government to make laws or build larger 2 story buildings or anything like that. They needed a government to help enforce law and get money for the citys and towns. They originally created a direct democracy. This was important because it saved towns and cities from getting destroyed. -
Small Pox Epidemic
population remained. This had a good impact and a bad one. The good news is that a cure and a reason was made. But a lot of people died in the process. Without this event, a worse epidemic could have broke out and wiped out the whole population. -

Right after Christmas, small pox broke out in the city. The rest of the winter was horrible. People on the streets would die getting water from the well. People would quit working because they were so sick. Half the population was dead or on death's doorstep in March. Fortunately Dr. Henry Evans found a solution. In these 200 years, anarchy began to erupt because of a giant stock market crash beacause of a major bank robbery, the robbery of the Treasury. The "goverment" had no way to arrest them because it was direct democracy at that time. Many families escaped and hid in the jungle. Others tried to stay alive in the city. Then Grant E. came with a big army and took over. These terrible 200 years spread death like wild fire, but also spread people. Then the dictator came and helped everyone fall in line
