    War of 1300

After establishing the first liberal democracy, rage spread like the black plague across the nation because many were upset religion was not involved in the government. The same people started protesting and eventually, a war broke out between the citizens

    Peace before the Bloodshed

It's been 200 years since the war. The dispute was settled with an agreement between the religious folks and the spiritual ones that the government had come up with. Life among each other has been peaceful since. Once the people realized they had freedom and rights that couldn't be taken away, the citizens started to treat each other with respect.

    Outbreak

With peace among citizens for years, something horrible was bound to happen that would disrupt the lives of many. On October 15 of 1580, a rare disease contagious by touch had begun to spread. Many started to have rashes, some vomit, and some had seizures for days. The religious individuals began to pray and everyone else started to attack the government for not doing anything to stop the spread. What nobody knew was how the disease had begun to spread or why. It was the beginning of long years.

    Creeping Death

Two years after the outbreak, those who lived had begun calling the disease, "creeping death" because the symptoms started out on your feet and legs, eventually crawling up towards your arms and neck. Once it reached your head and brain, it was as if death was creeping up on you. The government had discovered a handful of individuals had made a trip to the depths of the Amazon Rain forest, with no knowledge they had brought along a disease with them. They were quarantined and research had begun
  • Dreaded years

For years scientists could not discover a cure. When citizens, well those still living, got hold of these news, they were livid. People started going mad and nobody could leave the country because there was a possibility Creeping Death could spread to the world. Citizens didn't like being locked in and felt they had no freedom which made them angry. The government was trying hard to provide necessities to everyone and give out food. This was hard to do when everyone hated the government.
  • Breathe

At last, scientists managed to find a cure and started to hand it out to those who lived. Slowly but surely, citizens were feeling better and life was recovering. The government managed to help individuals establish homes and find jobs for everyone. To prevent another outbreak from happening, the government decided to create a law that stated, "anyone traveling to or from an unknown place outside the country must be searched and be quarantined for at least two days."
  • Times are changing

The government adapted to changes that happened presidential wise. Many presidents either lacked knowledge on how to run things, or did not meet citizens needs. After the dreaded years, everyone tried hard to prevent anything dangerous from happening again.
  • Deadly Times

With people slightly paranoid and wanting to prevent diseases and constantly being vaccinated, they did not notice a new danger rising. The government has been keeping tabs on a man who recently escaped from under their nose and is considered highly dangerous. He has been going around murdering 20 people so far, yet even when the government knows who it is, somehow they still need to prove it and sometimes it does not all link up to him. Once caught, he will still need to have a trial.
  • Concert rage

The man hasn't been caught. With hundreds of murders looming and people freaking out, individuals manage to have some fun. At a heavy metal concert, an hour in it, people start screaming. Many are tripping over piles of bodies yet no one saw who did it. The government is trying, or as the citizens think, not trying hard enough, to catch the serial killer. Citizens begin to report suspicious activity and start to turn in their neighbors, whom they suspect did something. Like McCarthyism.
  • Safe at last

At last, the man was caught. Peace was restored and panic began to dissipate. The liberal democracy had come with a price. If dictatorship was put in place instead, there was a possibility all the horrid events would not happen. With so many rights that cannot be taken away from citizens and freedom, having a liberal democracy was worth it.
