    Booker T. Washington was the founder of the Tuskegee Institution in Alabama.

    Plessy v. Ferguson
    The Plessy vs. Ferguson case promoted segregation. this violated the 14th ammendment. Plessy was 7/8 white and 1/8 black. He sat in a white only seat to test the law, seperate- but -equal.

    W.E.B. DuBois was an Atlanta University professor. He thought truth and knowledge would help and different race understand each other. he wanted social and political integration.

    Alonzo Herndon was born a slave. He soon became a successful businessman with Atlanta Mutual Insurance Company. This business made him successful by hiring college graduates to run his company.

    During the Atlanta Riot, white mobs killed dozens of blacks, wounded scores, and inflicted property damage. The whites heard black males were as solutions white females. The white did not like this at all.

    the Leo Frank case is one of the most notorious in Georgia. A jew from Atalanta, was convicted for the murder of a 13 year old girl. She worked for him at the pencil factory.

    President Wilson hoped to keep the U.S. in the dispute among European nations. Senses of act from Germany led him to ask Congress to declare war on Germany. At the start of the war, U.S. was neutral, the U.S. soon became an allied power.

    The county unit system was established in 1917. They made this because Georgia legislature passed the Neil primary Act. The county unit system was bred for democratic parties.

    Borrowing money, speculating the stock market, and providing too much farm products were causes of the Great Depression. The Great Depression was horrible on all Americans. They couldn't afford to but things, so business had to close down. The economy was the worst its ever been.

    In 1935, the Rural Electrification Act was introduced by the New Deal. This gave rural areas electricity. Before this act, only 10% of the rural area had electricity.

    The Lend- Lease Act provided aid for America's military in different countries. This act was proposed in late 1940 and passed in March 1941.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    O December 7, 1941 hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the U. S. naval base at Pearl Harbor. The attack lasted two hours, but it was devastating. The Japanese managed to destroy nearly 20 U. S. naval vessels. More than 2,000 U. S. soldiers died.
