    George Washington Carver was born into slavery in Missouri in 1864. (Exact date are unknown). He was born during the civil wars years. After he was born a week later was sold in kentucky, and later on He was returned to Missouri.

    He died on January 5, 1943. He was buried on the campus near the grave of Booker T. Washington. After his death they made a George Washington Carver national Monument in Diamond.
