  • Gandhi is thrown off a train

    Gandhi purchased a 1st class ticket, but the authorities on the train did not permit him, an Indian, to travel with whites, and he was thrown off the train at the next stop for not cooperating with them.
  • Gandhi returns to India

    He returns due to Indians losing their right to vote in South Africa. The first thing he does upon return is travel to Durban with his family.
  • Registration Form Protest

    Gandhi and many other protestors burn the registration forms when given them. He does this in order to abolish the idea that Indians should be treated differently and wants equality.
  • British Beat Down Protestors

    The British, in response to the protest, beat down Gandhi and his other suporters in an effort to stop them from burning the froms and disobeying the law, showing their desire to keep Indians seperate from the British.
  • Marriage Law Protest

    Gandhi and his protestors marche peacefully in protest to the new marriage laws passed by the british, and the march goes into the winter.
  • Amritsar Massacre

    Amritsar Massacre
    British troops fire into an open market, killing 1500 unarmed protestors, including women and children. This revealed Britain's cruelty and ruthlessness they tried to control India with.
  • Protest to Rowlatt Act

    Gandhi and his protesters hold a day of praying and fasting against the Rowlatt act that oppressed Indians further. This protest was held partly in Amritsar, where the massacre took place.
  • Salt March

    Gandhi led a salt march beginning in Ahmedabad to Dandi to protest against the British salt monopoly and their control on it, and to show them India can make their own salt.
  • India's Independence

    India gains Independence from Britain as well as for the new nation, Pakistan. However, unrest between Muslims and Hindus starts conflict between them, and Gandhi fasts until the tensions have ceased.
  • Gandhi's Death

    Gandhi's Death
    Gandhi is shot and killed by a Hindi fanatic who doesn't believe in a united India and a big funeral is done in honor of Gandhi's contribution to India's independence.
