The plan seemed simple and easy, they would land 15 hundread men to secure.the beach and sezie the turk's third gun ridge. They would then send another 25 hundread men to push more into the turkish defences. The last 21 thousand men would follow the other 4 thousand to secure the whole area, but something went wrong. Many people say that they landed at the wrong place, or that were ment to land there since it wasn't very defended. What ever it was, it didn't work and thousands of men died.

After the failure that was the landing, the Anzacs dug in and made trenchs, but the turks didn't want them in there land anymore and gathered men to launch an attack on the weakest parts of the Anzac lines. Luckly a plane saw the new turkish soldiers coming and warned the Anzacs so that they wouldn't be surprised. Around 3 thousand turkish men died in the attack and another 10 thousand where wounded. Over the 9 or so hours of fighting that happened that day the Anzacs only lost around 160.

    Cease Fire
A cease fire was arranged for the 24th of May for a few hours so that the Turks could bury their dead and the Anzacs do the same. Since so many turkish men died a few days before they had to dig rushed holes so that they could bury all the men in the short time that they had.

  • The Evacuation

    The Evacuation
Said to be one of the only things that they sucsessfully did in the campagin, the evacuation was planned carefully since they couldn't just all get up and run because the turkish soldiers would just run them all down. So they had to do it secretly, they did it under the cover of night, and also used a deviced that would shoot every so offen to make the turks think that the Anzacs where still there and didn't come running down after them. It wasn't till the morning that the turks found out.
