    4 days ago, Rosa Parks refused to let a white man sit on her sit on a bus. This resulted in her arrest and she was also fined. The boycott against the buses began during Rosa`s hearing and this lasted 381 days.

    9 African American students enrolled into the predominantly white Little Rock Central High School. The 9 students had to be assisted by federal troops into the high school. Shortly after their enrollment, was the Little Rock Crisis, where Governor Orval Faubus initially prevented them from entering the school.
