BeginningFootball was created in china 100 years BC, Greece, Rome, and parts of Central America also claim to have started the sport; but it was England that transitioned soccer, or what the British and many other people around the world call “football,” into the game we know today.
How it was first playedThere were no rules and the players aimed at kicking a ball made of animal skin into a net amidst a lot of pushing and elbowing. These games were played so that the players - most of whom were soldiers - were physically fit in the eventuality of a war
early British footballThe first Football games played in Britain was between the locals of east of England, starting after a 'legendary' game that involved kicking around the severed head of a Danish prince that they had defeated in a war. These games were violent, where injury and death were not uncommon
Influence of public schools on footballFootball in Public Schools. ... Harrow,, Winchester and Charterhouse had all taken up football by the 1750s. English public schools played an important role in the development of the modern game of football. Football rules began to be codified in schools such as Eton (1815) and Aldenham (1825).
Industrial revaluationThe Industrial Revolution had a great impact on the Working Class, due to the long working hours. The workers barely had any leisure time. And if they did, only the men would go out, because they handled the money. The new increase of work hours left the workers only time to sleep, eat, and work. This resulted in people not playing the sport.
Rational recreationAs England was becoming more industrialized, people moved to the cities to get more money. The government gave the workers a Saturday afternoon off work people were using these afternoons off for sport. The government responded by building facilities for these leisure activities. Pitches, parks and public baths were built around the country. Sports were becoming a regular use of spare time, factories and churches were creating teams but these were mainly to help attendance and control behaviour

The role of VAR is to assist the referee to determine whether there was an infringement that means a goal should not be awarded or a foul that the referee has nor awarded but var think it should off and alert the referee.Play is interrupted so there is no direct impact on the game.
