Emergency Banking Relief Act

[Second](relief) gave Roosevelt the power to regulate banking transactions and foreign exchange, and only the banks that were deemed "stable" could reopen.

Civil Conservation Corps

[First](relief)recruited thousands of unemployed young men, and enrolled them in a peacetime army. Also provided work in reforestation, road construction, and prevention of forest erosion. Ended in 1941.

Tennessee valley authority act

National recovery administration

[First](recovery)created the NRA to promote economic recovery by ending wage and price deflation and restoring competition. It set business codes and quotas, and temporarily restored investor confidence.

Public works administration

[first](relief/recovery) was intended for both industrial recovery and unemployment relief. Over $4 billion was spent on public highways, bridges(including the Golden Gate Bridge), and dams for water and power.

National labor relations act

Protected the rights of employees and employers, to encourage collective bargaining, and to curtail certain private sector labor and management practices, which can harm the general welfare of workers, businesses, and he economy.

Rural electrification administration

Mar 1, 1935

Created to bring electricity to Rural areas like the Tennessee valley. Crews traveled across the country to set up a generic system which could be copied and reused.

Social Security Act

[Second](Reform)provided for the general welfare by establishing a system of Federal benefits, and by enabling the States to make provisions for aged persons, blind persons, dependent and crippled children, maternal and child welfare, public health, and the unemployed.

Wealth Tax Act

Aug 30, 1935

[Second](reform)raised U.S federal income tax on higher income levels, by introducing the "Wealth Tax". Was a progressive tax that took up to 75 percent of the highest incomes. More income you made, higher bracket you would be in to pay higher taxes.

Works Progress Administration

Apr 1, 1939

[second](relief)Employed millions of unskilled men to carry out public works projects including buildings and roads.
