    This is the year Women started rebelling against old restrcied clothes and started wearing more comfotable clothes. Such as, trousers and short skirts. A big develpment came when women were starting to be called "Flappers" for their new breed of young women that decided to go against old regulations and started breaking the barriers by flauting their skin that was known to be unacceptable.

    1930's style
    In the 1930's the big thing was dresses! These dresses often included an overcoat that was very popular in the thirties. Flowery dresses and any pattern that wasn't too obnoxious was also very popular for women. Although women were wearing dresses they were still not allowed to show much skin. Even celebrities wore long dresses with their hair close to their head.

    1940's style
    Women's fashion in the 1940's defiantly got a little bit more modern. Although the fashion industry was held down by ww2 regulations, that didn't stop women from wearing and making their elegant clothes. Gloves were a well known thing in the forties, almost every picture you can see, women are pictured wearing gloves. Also, a big thing was rain-jackets with fur! Yes rain jackets with fur! This was to keep women warm throughout the rain and snow. Who would have thought that was even possible?

    Due to the high demand in fabrics for ww2. There was limited qualities of fabric for women to use, so they had to stick with a simple outift. However, once ww2 ended, women's dresses in particular bloomed and women were wearing dresses with anything from poofy petticoats to bold and bright patterns.

    1960's style
    The early sixties women's fashion was more conservative and formal. However, that quickly changed when music started influencing society. Women started wearing short skirts, tie dye shirts, bascially anything with bright and swirling colors. This was a big event in fashion hisotry because women were baring their skin like never before.
  • 1970's style

    1970's style
    Women's style in the 1970's were a lot like the late sixtie's. In that women continued to wear bright and vivid colors. Also, women wore flowing skirts and flamboyant pants. In the summer a big thing was women wearing short shorts, a tight t-shirt and rollerskates! Rollerskates was a big hit on cool summer nights in the seventies!

    Let's just say women's fashion in the 80's had no limits. In the early eighties women were wearing turtlenecks and silk blouses. However, by the mid eighties women were experimenting their style by wearing high wasted jeans that were either tye-dyed or bleached. Also, they wore graphic t-shirts with their favorite band on them and even wore clothes that changed color. Not to mention, they experimented with wearing their clothes backwards with belts because why not!

    The nineties decade look was a lot classier and distinct than the eighties. Women wore black leggings with oversized sweaters, flannel shirts, almost anything in denim, and plain white keds. A interesting fact about the nineties is that a lot of kids that were in high school at that time were wearing their parents clothes from the seventies. Kids were wearing tye-dye shirts, bell bottom jeans, and homemade jewlery. The look of the seventies played a huge roll in the fashion society of the 90's.

    2000's style
    The trends of 2000 was all over the place. Outfits consited of Nike Air force 1 shoes with basketball jerseys to " chinese slippers' and bell bottomed jeans with no pockets. A big influence on the style of the 2000's was rap music culture. You would see many people wearing snapbacks, oversized clothes, nike sneakers, and of course velour track suits! People wanted to dress like their favorite athlete or music star.

    2015 style
    In 2015, fashion got a whole lot modern. People started wearing leather dresses,crop tops, and cool printed jackets. A big influence today on women's fashion, ecspecially for teenagers is their favorite celebrity and designers like Michael Kors. Girls follow their favorite celberity on social media to see the fashion trends and what they should be wearing. This upcoming fall a lot of styles being shown are flannels, lace bralettes with sweaters and super skinny jeans!
