    It was a slave rebellion that took place in Southampton County, Virginia, during August 1831 and it was led by Nat Turner. This led to to the civil war because this made the southerners mad that African American slaves killed many of the southern people

    The Compromise of 1850 had 5 bills that were passed by the United Sates Congress. This helped both the North and the South but it still led up to have problems between the North and South because slavery was still going around and some terreratories had slavery so it could lead up to the civil war

    This was a book written by the author name Harriet Beecher Stowe. She wrote about how the southern people treated slaves and how bad it was. This was a problem because the southerners said that she was making up lies and they were mad so this could lead up to the war because the north thought that this is how they treated the slaves

    The U.S. was debating whether or not to abolish slavery, Kansas was about to become a state. The government decided to leave the decision of whether or not slavery would be legal or not up to the residents of Kansas. People disagreed that a little war broke out all across Kansas and this could lead to the civil war because they had different opinions and they wanted America to be like their opinions.

    The South did not want a republican leader to win so they did not vote for lincoln. But after Lincoln did win the election the south was made so they seceded from the Union and the north did not like that they wanted to be a united nation not a seperate nation and it lead to war.
