The U.S. was debating whether or not to abolish slavery, Kansas was about to become a state. The government decided to leave the decision of whether or not slavery would be legal or not up to the residents of Kansas. People disagreed that a little war broke out all across Kansas and this could lead to the civil war because they had different opinions and they wanted America to be like their opinions. -
Abraham Lincoln’s Election
The South did not want a republican leader to win so they did not vote for lincoln. But after Lincoln did win the election the south was made so they seceded from the Union and the north did not like that they wanted to be a united nation not a seperate nation and it lead to war.
