The great northern war went from 1700-1721. It was fought by Sweden's Charles XII and a coalition ant that was lead by Peter the Great. -
Decembrist Revolt
this was against the czar Nicholas the first, This revolt turned out to be unsecsessful. -
Czar Alexander II Emancipates the Serfs
This gave the serfs a lot more freedom and they had rights for once. Most of the serfs still lived in poverty for a long time after this happened though. -
The Assassination of Alexander II
He was the czar of Russia from March of 1855 up until his assasination in 1881. He was also the king of Poland and the grand prince of Finlad. -
The Russo-Japanese War
This went on from feburary of 1904 to september of 1905. This was known as the first great war of the 20th. It went through moutains and body of water. Russia had a warm water port for their navy trade which was a big deal for them. -
Bloody Sunday
People were marching against the czar unarmed and when the soilders came the czar told the soilders to shoot them, Many of the people were shot and killed and this became known as Bloody Sunday. -
The Revolution of 1905
this was a major political and social unrest in Russian empire. Many people wne on worker strikes and there was a lot of violence in Russia when this happened. -
World War I (Russian Involvement)
This war had a devistating impact on Russia. This is when Russia begun to rally around Nicholas the second. -
Czar Nicholas II abdicates the Russian throne
Czar Nicholas the second gave up his throne. He was then sent to go away with his family. They sat down to what they thought was going to be a family picture but really they were then shot and killed. -

This was a series of revolutions in Russia.
