    This war started over a conflict between the French and British and and who had control over the Ohio River Valley. France had help from the native Indians and they fought the British. The French lost and Great Britain receives an enormous territorial gain in North America.

    Great Britain imposed direct taxes on the British colonies in America. The tax was supposed to pay and provide for the British troops that were stationed in American colonies after the French and Indian War.

    Boston Massacre

    The Boston Tea Party was a political protest held by the Sons of Liberty. People were outraged by the British for imposing "taxation with representation."     The first military fight of the American Revolutionary war. These battles were fought because the British commander in Boston heard that there was gunpowder and weapons being kept by patriots in Lexington and Concord.

    The Treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian war. In the Treaty, France gave up all it's territories in North America, ending any threat to Great Britain.

    The amendments are many prohibitions of government power. This was a response to many complaints from several states.
