    Caves of Lascaux
    Hand painted caves found in southern France. The paintings themselves depict mostly animals and human figures with little vegetation drawn. Discovered by Marcel Ravidat in 1940. Tell us a great deal about the early humans who lived in Europe. The animals that are drawn show us some of the animals that the individuals interacted with and can give us clues about the lives of those people. Drawings such as large bears, bulls, and even rhinoceroses tell us a great deal about the culture.

    A mass conflict which originated in Europe and started with the invasion of Poland by Germany in 1939. Resulted in millions killed and injured. Two main sides, Allies (U.S., France, Uk) Axis (Germany, Italy, Japan)
