    Brittany Explores Independency: Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt
    Brittany (age 3) tried to dress herself for the first time while her mom stands by and observes. After attempting a few times, she asks her mom for help. Her mom gives her positive feedback on her attempt while helping her get dressed. The main crisis is between being allowed to dapple with independent choices and those choices being supported, or being punished for those choices thus experiencing shame and doubt.

    Brittany Masters Her Skills: Industry vs. Inferiority
    Brittany (age 8) was in her social studies class and was having a hard time with the new vocabulary. Her teacher encouraged her to look at the words at home and practice learning them. With support, she began to understand the words and their meanings and surpassed her classmates on the next quiz. The crisis is between learning new skills and mastering those skills through encouragement, or lack of recognition and failure leading to experiencing inferiority.

Logan proposes, and although she was shocked, she certainly says yes! The crisis is risking one's identity to commit to someone else intimately, or to avoid the commitment and end up isolated without an intimate relationship.
