As one of the most influential books of the movement and a New York Times best seller, "Silent Spring" changed the way many people viewed the chemical industry.

    This was the largest oil spill of all time and caused many marine life and birds as well to die. It took nearly a month to finally cause the spill to stop, and the public was shocked as to how this could have occurred.
