    King Charles has to raise money for war in Scotland, and calls Parliament to agree to tax increases. Parliament ask Charles to sign the Grand Remonstrance.

    Charles escapes from prison, and begins a second civil war. Parliament easily defeat the king for the second time, but are quickly loosing patience with him.

    After a year trying to negotiate an agreement with Charles, Parliament give up. They try him for treason, sentence him to death, and chop off his head.
