Valuation of Externalities in Urban Areas with Special Focus on Electromagnetic Pollution, Air Pollution and Noise
This was a research project done in urban areas because of the amount of electromagnetic pollution, air pollution and noise produced by humans. The goal of the project is to estimate how willing households would be to pay for the improvement of the urban environment. The big motive was the big concern of the effect that electromagnetic pollution has. Electromagnetic pollution is caused by mobile antennas, tv transmitters and high voltage power lines. SeaGen
SeaGen is the world’s first commercial power plant to generate electricity from tidal energy. Commissioned in 2008, the plant is located in a strait in the harbor Strangford Lough, in the Irish Sea, and can provide around 1,500 households with electricity. This power is generated by two large underwater rotors, driven by strong water currents for up to 20 hours a day at high and low tide. -

This was a research project to promote and improve cost efficient renovation that uses low energy on existing buildings. They focus on: reducing energy consumption for heating, cooling and hot water, enhancing solar energy use, improving electrical building functions, giving more comfort to live by improving space use. The project manager was Mark Zimmerman. -
