Elanor and her borther want to join Hitler Youth which is where all the kids from Germany go to at the age of 10 to learn discipline and the ways of Hitler. -
Hitler's birthday
April 20 is Hitler's birthday and Germany celebrated by having a National holiday so Eleanor had no school and she was out with her mother shopping when they come home to find that instead of Germany's flags, it was Ameerica's. -
The parade
on a hot and sticky day waiting in a group for the parade to start Eleanor past out and some time later she found herself on a cott with smelling salts under her nose. -

Tante Mieze and Onkel Adolf
Tante Mieze and Onkel Adolf come to vist and in up taking Eleanor back to their home for the rest of the school year because she was looking in such a fragile shape. -
The broken promise
Even though Eleanor's mother said no more birthday party's for her, her Tante Mieze gave her one anyway but didn't invite her best friends and when they showed up later she made them go through the servants entrance to get to the party -
Mother's news
A few days after Eleanor gets back from her Oncle Adolf and Tante Mieze Eleanor's Molther announces that she is going to have a baby. -
High School
Eleanor starts her every first day of hingh school and to her it was a lot tougher than Elementary. -
Baby boy
At last Eleanor's baby brother is born and named Thomas Joseph. -
Lucie
Just after Omi leaves from taking care of Mother and Thomas Lucie comes to their apartment to work, it was weapon factory or this. -
The Holy Communion
During Eleanor's First Holy Communion just before it was her turn, a girl throws-up all over her nice white dress. -
Going to Bansin
Eleanor has to go to Bansin becaus eof all the air raids that is happening. -
Onkel Franz
Onkel Franz Died at the age of 35 from cancer. -
Hildegard Elizabeth
Eleanor gets a new baby sister on her own birthday. -
Fathers back
Even though father was sent off to work and mother and Eleanor's siblings went to Tante Mieze he still got to spend Christmas with them.
