    Since paper was to expensive they used a tool called a hornbook, which is a hard piece of wood with a paper layed on top and with a handle.

    Teachers in this tim period were known as professors.Fun fact is that a lot of teachers or "professors" grew very unhappy.Also education was determined by race, class, and gender.

    In the begining it was the parents teaching the young, or some parents offten sent of their kids to a friendly neighbor or a close realitive and will pay them off in many differnt ways. Also parents or friendly neighboors taought the children through the bible or a hornbook.
    George Washignton, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe., John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Martin Van Buren were all presidents durring this time.
