Minnie Swift is a child who's apart of the great depression era, along with her family and later on she has to let her orphan/cousin stay with her and her family for the holidays and their Christmas will be like any other.

Someone in olive's family has committed suicide, her father killed himself right before his daughter's 11th birthday party. minnie was laughing and it was wrong of her to laugh about a word while olive's family was grieving.

Dec 6, 1932

Willie Faye, an orphan and cousin of the swift family, must stay due to her parents' death . she lived in heart's bend, Texas until she had to stay with Minnie and her family.

The family is concerned because papa hasn't been joining the family in any of family activities, mama believes he's sick and doesn't want to come downstairs.

Dec 16, 1932

Minnie is preparing for the Christmas pageant and she is happy that school is ending for christmas break and she was ready to show off her homemade presents and hats she made.

Everyone except minnie and willie faye, were going to the tinsel time dance. minnie's sisters said that she was too young to attend the dance. meanwhile, gwen and the fink broke up and now she's going without a date to the dance. the o's are going and they don't have dates either .

Minnie's papa has left the family. mama found the note in her room and she looked pale as a ghost when she read the note and saw it. minnie and her siblings couldn't believe that they left the home without saying goodbye.

Minnie and her family decided to open their presents and exchange gifts that they made little did they know, that Sam (their papa) has returned from his expedition. minnie and willie faye feel proud showing off their hats that they've made for everyone.

Everyone showed off their spectacular and amazing gifts and also exchanging their gifts minnie thought this christmas would be lame and just boring as usual but this christmas was different becuase willie faye came in and changed everything. and.. there was christmas after all.

On 1/6/33, everyone in the swift family gained fame and fortune in their lives thanks to their son , Ozzie. Minnie perused her dream: to fly an aircraft, for the Air force.
