The voyage started 1831 with 21 year old Charles Darwin. Darwin embarked on the HMS Beagle as captains assistant.

The Beagle land's in Brazil. Their Darwin experiences his first rainforest. He is astounded by all the different types of species and vegetation.

FOSSILS!!!

Darwin lands in Punta Alta, Argentina. Darwin finds giant fossils and estimate that those animals are extinct now

Darwin explores the fertile lowlands known as Pampas.

Chiloe Islands, Chile

Darwin experiences an earthquake, while watching Mount Orsono erupt.

Galapagos Islands

Darwin arrives in the Galapagos Islands. He sees that the animals and plants are related to those on the mainland. Here he developed his theory on evolution, using the finches.
