He was amazed at the fossils in Argentina, and how hug they were, he made an assumption that many of the species must have been new. -
Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
Captain Robert Fitzroy, that was on the ship, attempts to start a Christian mission with three people that he brought to England on a previous Voyage. -
Falkland Islands
He went to the Falkland islands that look run down and old. Coming to find when he cracks open some rocks he found fossils of organisms that were must abundant to Earth at a point of time. -
Rio Negro, Argentina
Darwin explored the more fertile area known as Pampas. He met "gauchos" as of which he come to the thinking that there is fun in the life of being a "gaucho" by being able to pull up "your "own horse. -
Chiloe Island, Chile
Charles Darwin saw Mount. Orsono erupt while he was in Chiloe and an earthquake near Valdivia. The aftermath of the explosion affected Charles, he believes that the earthquake done more damage than 100 years of natural disasters. -
Galapagos Islands
While in the Galapagos Islands, Darwin learned a lot about animals such as the Galapagos tortoise, iguanas, crabs, and a bird called a finch. He tried to learn how these animals got there looks and how they survive in their habitat, which couldn't be by what their parents or ancestors did in their lifetime. In the mystery of that "genes" played its roll. -
Sydney, Australia
When he arrived to Sydney, Australia he applauded himself that he was proud to be an Englishman. -
Cocos Islands
Charles studies the coral reef growing around the islands to test his theory of their formation. He was glad to be able to see those islands. -
Mauritius
Darwin observes as he walks on a quiet path north of Mauritius. -
Cape Town, South Africa
The first thing that caught his attention in the Cape Town is the number of bullock wagons. He also observed the Table Mountain and was amazed by the height. -
Bahia and Pernambuco, South America
Charles Darwin was amazed by the various incredible creatures that he saw in the jungle. Due to him being seasick and homesick he didn't see when the Beagle made an unscheduled detour for longitude measurements. -
Falmouth, England
The Beagle Voyage ship that was only 90ft long and held 74 people with 22 clocks, finally arrived back to England after a 6 year ling journey. Charles quoted that this event was the most important event in his life.
