    The Cuban Missile Crisis was a political standoff that ocurred after WWII when the USSR planted missiles in Cuba aiming at the U.S. The U.S. responded by sending naval blocades around Cuba and made it clear they were ready to counteract. It wasn't until 13 days when the USSR made an agreement with US to remove their missiles if the US didn't invade Cuba

    Cuban Revolution
    The Cuban revolution was a revolt led by Fidel Castro and the 26th of July Movement. After Fidel Castro gained control of Cuba, he formed into a communist party. Following many changes they began to trade with the Soviet Union. This and becoming a communistic party made the U.S. pretty angry.
