Creation of Earth

  • 4600 BCE

    Planetary Accretion

This is approximately when rocks and dust collided to form the earth
  • 4600 BCE

Mantle, outer, and inner core creation

This is the point where different elements would fall to the center of the early planet or rise to the top because of density. This happened because all of earth was basically liquid
  • 4500 BCE

    Creation of the moon

When a young planet collided with earth a lot of small debris shot out of earth to create a ring of molten rocks (similar to saturn). out of this ring the moon was formed.
  • 4100 BCE

    Planetary Cooling

at this stage earth's crust began cooling until solidification
  • 4000 BCE

    End of late heavy bombardment

At this point in time is also when the earliest fossil could be found, because this is the time where earth cooled down and was able to contain water. After this stage a new eon of time begins, The Archean Eon.
  • 1250 BCE

    Earths inner core solidified

At this stage earths inner core transitioned from being a molten liquid metal to a solid ball.
  • 650 BCE

    First Snowball earth

This is when almost all of earth froze. and shows the contrast of how earth started off as molten metal to this point where earth totally froze
