    The First Fleet of 11 ships, each one no larger than a Manly ferry, left Portsmouth in 1787 with more than 1480 men, women and children onboard. Although most were British, there were also African, American and French convicts. After a voyage of three months the First Fleet arrived at Botany Bay on 24 January 1788. Here the Aboriginal people, who had lived in isolation for 40,000 years, met the British in an uneasy stand off at what is now known as Frenchmans Beach at La Perouse.

    Between 1910-1970, many Indigenous children were forcibly removed from their families as a result of various government policies. The generations of children removed under these policies became known as the Stolen Generations. The policies of child removal left a legacy of trauma and loss that continues to affect Indigenous communities, families and individuals.

    A soldier would have two weopons would be a bayonetit is a large dagger that can be put on to a gun if you didn't have the gun form you would have that and a rifle. An Officer would have a Revolver which is a pistol. 2 -3 people would arm the machne gun which was very useful. some soldiers would be armed with grenades. mortars were armed by 1-2 people. The Artilery was armed by 3-4 people it was a huge cannon. A Tank would be extremely useful protecting all soldiers in side. E.C.T

    A Mine is a bomb dug in to the gruond and when the enemey steps on it it blows up . Barbed Wire is a weapon of protection the soldiers would souruond the Trenches. Flame throwers were used in WW1 by the Germansbut their were not many. Torpeados were like under water Missiles.

    Vincent Lingiari, Gurindji leader, starts a protest against Lord Vestey 's company, a british landowner, because of the work conditions and the stealing of their land
  • The handing back of the Gurindji Land

    The handing back of the Gurindji Land
    The strike , led by Vincent Lingiari, lasted 8 years. The protest eventualla resulted in the right of the Gurindji peolple gaining the land back. On that day the Prime minister Gough Whitlam pored the local sand onto Vincent's hand as a symbol of handing the Wave Hill Station back to the Gurindji people. It was the fist time Aboriginal Land Rights were recognised.
