    Alexander Dubcek was involved. Soviet Invasion of Czechoslovakia happened because the Soviet Union led Warsaw Pact troops in an invasion of Czechoslovakia to crack down on reformist trends in Prague.It began 5 January through the 21 of August 1968. All this took place in Czechoslovakia.

Stalin claimed the new currency was an attempt to wreck the East German economy. The main cause of the Berlin Blockade was the Cold War, which was just getting started. Stalin was taking over eastern Europe by salami tactics and Czechoslovakia had just turned Communist.

The speech took place in Harvard University in April 3, 1948.An act to promote world peace and the general welfare,national interest,and foreign policy of the United States through economic,financial,and other measures necessary.United States gave more than $12 billion to help rebuild Western European economies after the end of World War II.

U.S. and British pilots begin delivering food and supplies by airplane to Berlin after the city is isolated by a Soviet Union blockade.It happened June 24, 1948 through May 12, 1949 in Berlin. When World War II ended in 1945, defeated Germany was divided into Soviet, American, British and French zones of occupation.

Britain and France in 1947 signed the Treaty of Dunkirk, a defensive pact.

    MacArthur was involved in the Korean War.North Korea invaded South Korea.As a product of the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States,Korea had been split into two sovereign states in 1948.It happened in Jun 25,1950 through Jul 27,1953.The Cold War was an important cause in the Korean War,the two occupying powers were bad and when China became Communist in October 1949,the President Truman,was very worried that other countries around China may also become Communist,such as Japan.

    There was a couple countries involved in the Vietnam War.United States fought wars to stop communism,the Vietnamese fought for independence and won in 1954. The country was split into communist North Vietnam and non-communist South Vietnam. It was November 1, 1955 throughApril 30, 1975 in North,South Vietnam, Cambodia,Laos and Southeast Asia. This had happened in Eastern Europe after 1945. China had become communist in 1949 and communists were in control of North Vietnam.

    Nikita Khrushchev was one of the people involved in the Revolt in Hungary.Thousands were killed and wounded. It happened October 23, 1956 in Hungary.The Hungarian people against the ruling Communist Party of the time and the Soviet policies which were crippling post-war Hungary.Nagy tried to push the Hungarian revolt forward by abolishing one party rule. He also announced that Hungary was withdrawing from the Warsaw Pact.

The technological gap between the United States and Soviet Union caused by the Soviets' launch of Sputnik, the world's first artificial satellite.

    Mao Zedong was involved in the Great Leap Forward.The Great Leap Forward of the People's Republic of China was an economic and social campaign by the Communist Party of China from 1958 to 1963 in china, caused by a combination of adverse weather conditions,social pressure,economic mismanagement,and radical changes in agriculture order by government regulations. Mao Zedong,Chinese Communist Party Chairman,introduced harsh changes in farming policy which prohibited farm ownership.

    United States astronauts were involved in this.The Apollo program was designed to land humans on the Moon and bring them safely back to Earth.It started 1961 through 1975.The six missions that landed on the Moon returned a wealth of scientific data and almost 400 kilograms of lunar samples.Experiments included soil mechanics, meteoroids, seismic, heat flow, lunar ranging, magnetic fields, and solar wind experiments.

It was the moment when the two superpowers came closest to nuclear conflict.

    Communist leader Mao Zedong launched what became known as the Cultural Revolution.Mao reported that bourgeois elements had invaded the government and society at large,aiming to restore capitalism.The movement spread into the military, urban workers, and the Communist Party leadership.All this happened in China. To eliminate his rivals within the Communist Party of China, Mao insisted that revisionists be removed through violent class struggle.
