    Korean War
    The Korean War was between South Korea and the U.S. against North Korea and China. The war was battle of communism and democracy and began simply by North Korea invading South Korea. The Korean War started on June 25, 1950 and ended July 27, 1953. The Korean War impacted politics in Korea because it was a war between politics and if any side won the other side would have to become that kind of government style.
  • Vietnam War

    Vietnam War
    The Vietnam War started because of political issues. North Vietnam was communist and South Vietnam was a democracy. The goal for both sides was to take over the others land and change the government. When the U.S. troops were sent over to help they had trouble determining who was who and not only did they have to worry about people from the North Vietnam army but the citizens too because they had secretly stashed guns. The war impacted politics because it was a war against ones government style.
  • Rosa Parks

    Rosa Parks
    Rosa Parks was an African American woman who would ride the public bus to get around town. However, on December 1, 1955 she was sitting in one of the front row seats when she was approached by a white man and was told to move out of the seat. She didn't listen to what the man said and was later arrested. Rosa Parks impacted society because she was able to stand up to a white man without fear and helped lead a boycott against the bus that they ended up winning.

    Elvis Presley was the king of rock N roll between 1956 to 1973. He has many popular songs such as Teddy bear, Hound Dog, Crazy little thing called love, etc. Elvis also did many things for the public, he paid off health bills, house bills, gave $1,000s of dollars to charities. Elvis impacted society because he had many, many fans who would listen to his songs and made many, many people care for him.
  • Berlin Wall

    Berlin Wall
    The Berlin wall was a 69 1/2 mile wall that separated Berlin in half. The wall was made because of people who lived on the east side of Berlin were border hoping over to the west side of Berlin. This was because west Berlin was owned by the U.S. and was democratic and the east side of Berlin was owned by the Soviet Union and was communistic. The wall was later knocked down in 1989. The Berlin wall impacted politics because it separated two different government styles and
  • Cuban Missile Crisis

    Cuban Missile Crisis
    The Cuban Missile Crisis was between the U.S. and Cuba. In October was a 13 day stand off where both the U.S. was pointing missiles at Cuba and Cuba was pointing missiles at us. Luckily Cuba turned back and prevented a nuclear war outbreak. The two countries then made a treaty saying to reduce the amount of atomic bombs that they had. The Cuban Missile Crisis impacted society because so many people were scared out of their minds that they were going to be hit by missiles but, luckily didn't.
  • Man on the Moon

    Man on the Moon
    On July 20, 1969 Apollo 11 was sent in to space with 3 people inside. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Micheal Collins. 600 million people were watching them on tv around the world as Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon. America was the first country to have someone walk on the moon and put a flag down on it. The first man on the moon impacted the economy because it influenced us to created better space shuttles and spend more money in the building space projects.
  • Kent State Massacre

    Kent State Massacre
    On May 4, 1970 a college campus in Ohio had a protest against sending troops to Cambodia. The protest involved 21,000 students who were all peaceful at first. Police were called up and started beating the student protesters. This is when the students retaliated and started throwing rocks and the police causing them to fire back only with bullets. 4 students were killed and 9 were wounded. Kent State Massacre impacted society because in injured civilians and accused 25 of them being guilty.
  • Jimmy Carter

    Jimmy Carter
    Jimmy Carter was the U.S. president from 1976 to 1980. Two big events that took part in were the Helsinki agreement which had to do with Europe and trying to end the cold war. The other big event was the Olympic boycott on Moscow because President Carter didn't want to have the Olympics there because of the actions of the Soviet Union invading Afghanistan. Jimmy Carter affected society because by boycotting the Olympics in Moscow he denied the athletes to take part in it after all their training

    Social networking allows people to be able to interact with each other through a computer instead of having to interact in person. The first social network cite was GeoCities which was a dating website. There have been many social network cites but, the biggest social media cites are Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Twitter, and Pinterest. The impact on social media is interaction with one another. Social media impacted society because people don't talk face to face as much anymore.
  • George W. Bush

    George W. Bush
    George W. Bush was the U.S. president between 2000 to 2008. In the early years of his presidency, the U.S. was attacked by a terrorist group called al Quida. After the destruction that was left after 9/11, Bush declared war on them and the war of terror started about a month after the attack. Now he is living the life as he owns the Texas Rangers and goes to a lot of the games. George W. Bush impacted society because he sent troops of to Afghanistan.
  • Iraq/Afghanistan war

    Iraq/Afghanistan war
    This war started because of the attack on the U.S. George W. Bush sent troops over to Iraq to stop the two main terrorist groups al Quida and tailban. The U.S. also wanted to protect the oil reserves there and protect other countries from terrorist. The two main people that the U.S. was looking for was Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. Overall the war cost the U.S. 4.7 trillion dollars and 6882 casualties. The war impacted economy because of all the money the government spent on it.
